Allied Health Professionals

Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) are a group of expert clinicians who can diagnose, treat and rehabilitate people of all ages across health, education and social care.

They work with a variety of individuals, staff, families and carers to support people in a number of ways including delivering direct care, rehabilitation programmes, education and self-management interventions and health improvement. AHPs are also instrumental in helping people to get home from hospital, preventing admission to hospital and in supporting people to remain in their own homes for as long as possible.

In the Western Isles, the AHP group includes Dietitians, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Radiographers and Speech and Language Therapists, please click on the links below to access the particular service required.
